Pour additional water or clam juice into the mixture. You can then set this liquid aside and store in your refrigerator. The next step is to place quinoa in a bowl and then cover it with cold water. Soak the grain for about five minutes and then strain and rinse it. Set the healthy grain aside to start draining.

    The next thing that you should do is to heat olive oil in a casserole and sautee onion in it for about eight minutes. The garlic, bay leaf, cumin, chili and pepper are then added next. Stir these ingredients in the casserole for two more minutes. After that, the chopped clams, potatoes and tomato paste are stirred into the mixture. Pour the reserved clam juice and then simmer the mixture for about ten minutes. The quinoa is then added. You need to cook the mixture for another twenty-five minutes while occasionally stirring it.

    While cooking quinoa, you need to start reducing the white wine in a pan by half using medium heat. The garlic, pepper flakes, salt, red pepper and remaining clam juice are then added into the pan. Cook this mixture for five minutes. The littlenecks are then added into the pan. Cook the mixture for another ten to fifteen minutes. After that, you need to mound the quinoa mixture into a platter. Spoon the littlenecks along with the peppers and juice over quinoa. After that, the cilantro should be scattered over the dish. You can then immediately serve it.

  • The solar oven I bought is so easy to transport to a beach, a park, and it would be so perfect in emergency situations such as earthquakes, black outs, or floods. Usually I have it outside, and the temperature goes up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I live in Tennessee and it gets very hot here in the summer. We have lots of sunny days which make cooking with the solar oven even more perfect. I like the fact the all the inside of the oven is not plastic. It is aluminum with a powdered coating with non toxic paint. The only plastic part of this oven is outside which does not touch your food. I have used it more than 100 times in this summer alone and there is no smell or taste left in the oven after using it. The only bad point I can see now is that its light weight. Sometimes it can cause slight tipping on a windy day.

    Place the garbanzo beans in a food processor or blender and then add the lemon juice, tahini, garlic, cumin and salt. Blend and mix it well altogether. If the mixture is thick try to add some water. Then place it in a bowl then mix the fresh parsley and sesame seed oil. Then place it in a refrigerator for several hours. Then remove it half an hour prior to serving it. Place it in a shallow plate and place some olive oil and sprinkle it with sumac at the top. Serve it with Pita Toasts or you can even substitute raw vegetables too for dipping. For some variations you can substitute black beans too and basil leaves for parsley.
